Meet Jillian Lai, Dental Hygienist
Jill brings a unique blend of education, communication, and dental experience to her role at Access Dental Services. Before entering the dental field, she worked as a primary school teacher, developing a passion for helping people learn and build confidence.
Experience Across Dental Settings
Jill’s interest in dental hygiene grew while working as a dental assistant in periodontic and paediatric dental clinics. She also gained experience in periodontic and holistic practices, assisting with procedures performed under general anaesthetic, as well as implants, grafts, surgical extractions, and laser procedures.
Inspired by the work she saw every day, Jill went on to study and qualify as a dental hygienist.
Helping Patients Feel Informed
One of the aspects Jill enjoys most about her role is helping patients better understand their oral health. Her teaching background allows her to explain information clearly and create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions.
Outside the Practice
Away from work, Jill enjoys staying active through gym sessions and boxing. She also loves building Lego, spending time in the garden, and travelling whenever she has the opportunity.
